Founded in 1984, the company has built a strong reputation for high-quality workmanship, engineering expertise and bespoke steel fabrication for clients across the UK.
Today, DG Scott designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of steelwork, including bespoke staircases, balconies, balustrades, access solutions and specialist steel moulds for the precast concrete industry.
Our History
DG Scott Ltd was founded by Denis Scott in 1984, initially designing and manufacturing steel moulds for the precast concrete industry.
As the DG Scott reputation for quality engineering and fabrication grew, the business expanded its expertise. A few years later, DG Scott began designing its own machinery for the manufacture of drawn wire spacers.
Demand for the company’s high-quality workmanship continued to grow, leading to further expansion of the DG Scott product range.
The business developed its capabilities in bespoke secondary steelwork, designing and fabricating products including steel staircases, balconies and balustrades alongside its established specialist manufacturing services.
Now owned by Corden Group Ltd, DG Scott is entering the next stage of its development, with continued investment in its people, capabilities and product range.
From our Nottinghamshire base in the heart of the UK, we continue to provide high-quality steel fabrication and secondary steelwork for projects nationwide.

DG Scott is currently looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, working on the fabrication and installation of specialist steelwork across the UK.
What we’re looking for
- A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Welding experience, with MIG, Stick and TIG experience preferred
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Five or more years’ welding and fabrication experience
- Good mechanical skills and competence using relevant tools
- CSCS card preferred

Monday & Tuesday: 6am–4pm, with a 30-minute lunch
Wednesday & Thursday: 7am–4pm, with a 30-minute lunch
Friday: 7am–11am
